TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN/INTEREST
Visited Community Legal Clinic at 24 Queen St. and submitted a letter for legal help to deal with middle of the month eviction threats.
Visited the Multicultural Community Centre at civic centre in the building where library is also located. 11h30 to 12h00 to explore if the centre could help with housing help.
Thanks to Paladin Security present at the centre to help me with housing issue, and to provide me necessary information for tonight.
But when I went to the shelter around 20h30, clerk at the window did not accept me, rather said I can not be there for a minute, not for a second. She wanted me to talk to the landlord. She said this was not a hotel, I should go to a hotel, talk to landlord etc. This was a cold night, shelter should have been a warming centre tonight on February 17 of 2023. Place looked extremely full, perhaps that’s why she said that, but than shelter should provide a voucher to the hotel because of the emergency situation.
When I arrived at 10 Conover CRT., entry code did not work and when I called Shahid Anwar no one responded. No one opened the door.
Who is the landlord, I have no contact.
A police car stopped at the bus stop at McLaughlin and Queen when I was waiting for the east bound route #1, and asked many questions, if I was at the Senior Centre etc., and nearly made me miss the bus, but I got it just in time, I said excuse me I need to take the bus. He asked me for my phone number. I showed him my senior transit pass and Bob Callahan scan card. He wanted to know if I was familiar with the surroundings and where I was going. No one asked me such questions in July 2022 when I arrived from Hamilton to this area. Very strange. This was unnecessary harassment. I did not waive at the police car and did not ask for any police help at that place.
Became a traveller at night and went for night tourism, buildings and views at night look different than the day time view i.e. on the first night Feb 17.
It has been more than a month by now on March 19 of 2023 and still there was no solution to that handwritten eviction note, change of lock etc. No flight was given to me to go back to my previous country of residency prior to the immigration to Canada in 1993.
