TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
AND/OR
TO WHOM IT MAY INTEREST
I would say it is impressive that Android 10 can detect the langauge used (or the characters typed) and adjusts orientation accordingly. I was originally named since around I was a baby as “خالدمحمود” (also my name on my original NICD issued in Karachi early 70s was written like this in Urdu, before National ID cards did not exist in Pakistan. my Saudi Arabia documents such as my Iqama also showed my name written like this).
and phonetically I translate it as ->->->->->-> “KHALID MAHMOOD” for English speaking environments. Recentlt I filled my name profile in google contacts, in the phone’s local database and on google messages app in details. So I typed my name in its original language “خالد” in first name and “محمود” in last name field. and it displayd it in correct orientation as “خالدمحمود“, in the phonetic name I filled “KHALID” as my first name and “MAHMOOD” as my last name but it did not display it in correct orientation of english language. Perhaps the programners forgot to detect the language in phonetic name field and display accordingly. However I found a solution and I used a comma in my phonetically last name field and it shows it correctly. But there is a bug, it should change the orientation by itself, again after detecting the language of the phonetic name.
Android programmers should look into this and feel free to discuss with me my experience in this matter. (google gmail automatically adopts to the proper orientation of the language used, to punch in the name, for Urdu it displays my name correctly right flushed and for English it displays my name correctly left flushed, tried and tested works perfectly well, amazing)
apple.com web account also does not adjust the orientation (not language/context aware) for other languages such as URDU or Arabic, it uses the same orientation as for English language which is incorrect. apple.com web developers/programmers/system admin should look into this. icloud which is also apple.com product shows my name correctly in either language without manipulation, as shown below. I am not apple products user as yet, just checking it out on android 10 phone. (In my past in 1982 or 83 I was chosen to fix a pair of apple II or similar computers at the American School in Karachi. no other affiliation with apple.com, I used my personal ICs left over from college to fix one of the computers because the company I used to work for did not have any parts. Other computer remained un-operational at that time due to lack of parts availability.)

microsoft.com web account changes orientation for the language used as shown below, and name looks and reads correct without manipulating the name as it should be.

google.com (youtube) adjusts the orientation according to the language used as well without manipulating the name, and looks and reads correct as it should. yahoo.com email and wordpress.com, Honeywell (HPS and Careers) and IBM also show my name correctly in either language without any name manipulation.

my eldest son born in Saudi Arabia has birth certificate written in Arabic language which show his name as “احسن خالد محمود”, my other two children were born in Canada so there names on birth certificates were written in English language but phonetically translated from original names
“بلال خالد محمود” and ” ثنا سعدیہ محمود ” .
