I need legal help to deal with this abusive and unacceptable situation. Constantly they make rental issue. My rent is being paid directly by the OW to the receiver, so there is no rent due. Rent amount I am paying is more than the market value for a unfurnished, small 145 Sq ft room {a Square space of 110 Sq Ft (10×11) and a small square space of 36 Sq Ft (6×6)} in a very old building without any facilities without cable, without internet. No in-room appliances/no kitchenette etc. no shower inside, no maintenance inside, no manager on site to talk if any issues with locksb(street level or room door lock), HVAC, etc. This is absolute harassment and abuse to demand more rent from OW cheque without any income.
March 05 of 2021 at 08h31 AM : Called OW case manger of my file about this demand from Dianna (rent receiver). Recorded message on his extension directed me to press 0. Someone by the name of Dianna (OW staff not the rent receiver) answered and took the message to convey to relevant authorities about this demand.
March 10 of 2021 at 16h10 PM: Received a call from OW. OW Case manager xxxx xxxxx on my file (my OW file is linked to my Social Insurance Number) called at 16h10 PM to talk about this matter, I explained to him that OW should write a letter to rent receiver telling them about my rent paying capacity due to OW limitation (I am paying more than the OW maximum). I wanted him to send the letter directly to the rent receivers with the rent cheque but he did not agree and wants to mail the letter to me and for me to handle it myself. end of the call.
Before I moved-in in this building intent to rent form was completed and signed by the rent receiver, so they know this since the beginning how I pay my rent which has not changed during this time (no income). So if they demand for more money I will expect OW to increase my rent to enable me to pay more because I have no income yet. I have no reason to rent in this building and I can move out when I find another place, I was trapped to rent in this building. I made an effort to move out of this building in 2017 but it was blocked and my rent was reduced to current amount of rent. So why this issue now. This is harassment to establish authority on others and spread wrong information about my rental situation by saying it in a announcement style statement instead of talking to me personally and privately to find out if this was true or not.
